1.3. Предельные отклонения диаметров круглой проволоки должны соответствовать: медной - ГОСТ 2112-79, алюминиевой - ГОСТ 6132-79, сплавов сопротивления - ГОСТ 5307-77, ГОСТ 10155-75, ГОСТ 1790-63, ГОСТ 2179-59, медной никелированной и сплавов на основе меди и других материалов - нормативно-технической документации.
Предельные отклонения размеров прямоугольной проволоки должны соответствовать: медной - ГОСТ 434-78, ГОСТ 16774-78, алюминиевой - ГОСТ 10687-76.
Номинальные размеры и предельные отклонения прямоугольной проволоки для проводов со стекловолокнистой, эмалево-стекловолокнистой и бумажной изоляцией должны быть указаны в стандартах или технических условиях на провода конкретных марок.

1.4. Расчетные диаметры многопроволочной токопроводящей жилы проводов выбирают из ряда (значения, указанные в скобках, в новых разработках не применять): 3,18; 3,54; 3,75; 3,96; (4,35); 4,50; (4,68); 4,80; 5,10; 5,30; 5,60; 5,90; 6,25; 6,60; 7,50 мм.
1.5. Диапазоны номинальной толщины изоляции круглых проводов в зависимости от вида изоляции и номинального диаметра проволоки должны соответствовать указанным в табл. 3.
Диапазоны номинальной удвоенной толщины изоляции прямоугольных проводов с волокнистой, пленочно-волокнистой изоляцией указаны в табл. 4.
Диапазоны номинальной удвоенной толщины изоляции прямоугольных проводов со стекловолокнистой, стеклополиэфирной, эмалево-стекловолокнистой, эмалево-стеклополиэфирной изоляцией и стекловолокнистой изоляцией с пропиткой органосиликатной композицией указаны в табл. 5.
Допускается увеличение диаметральной толщины изоляции круглых проводов и удвоенной толщины изоляции прямоугольных проводов, если максимальные размеры проводов не превышают указанных в стандартах или технических условиях на провода конкретных марок.
Минимальная толщина изоляции должна быть не менее 70% от указанной в табл. 3-5.
1.6. Номинальную толщину бумажной изоляции круглых проводов выбирают из ряда, указанного в табл. 6.
Номинальную удвоенную толщину бумажной изоляции для прямоугольных проводов (В-в) выбирают из ряда:
0,45; 0,55; 0,72; 0,96; 1,20; 1,35; 1,36; 1,44; 1,68; 1,92; 2,00; 2,48; 2,96; 3,60; 4,08; 4,40 мм.
Предельные отклонения толщины изоляции должны быть указаны в стандартах или технических условиях на провода конкретных марок.
1.7. Номинальную удвоенную толщину изоляции проводов с пленочной изоляцией выбирают из ряда:
0,23; 0,30; 0,35; 0,40 мм.
1.8. Максимальные размеры проводов должны быть указаны в стандартах и технических условиях на провода конкретных марок.
Для проводов прямоугольного сечения допускается указывать максимальный размер по одной стороне.
